One of the most biodiverse countries in the world but better known for its political corruption, drug trafficking and armed conflict. Colombia has spawned hundreds of the best riders in the world as they commandeer the most prestigious international podiums. But the country’s obsession with cycling transcends the sport, in the same way it transcends classes and politics.

Our starting point is with some of the finest cyclists in the country but we will learn from all walks of life why the bicycle is vital for life. We seamlessly flow in and out of their stories as if in one fluid movement, one character will pass the baton to the next character where another vivid moment will unfold. The feeling will be as if we are constantly moving and dropping in, creating a vibrant tapestry.

Cyclovia is a universal cinematic story about freedom, life and love set in Colombia. Freewheeling in and out of people’s lives from the Andes to the Amazon and all the chaotic city streets in between. Mysterious, wild, intimate, at times dangerous – we pursue a fresh perspective, challenging perceptions about a country often only defined by its troubled past.
